Leicester City manager Sven Goran Eriksson has confirmed Shane Long is one of his targets, but feels the Reading striker may move to the Premier League.
Long has attracted interest from several clubs during the summer, with West Ham United having had a £7million offer rejected.
West Bromwich Albion and Celtic are also understood to be interested, and Eriksson feels a deal to bring Long to the King Power Stadium will be 'difficult'.
"He is one on the list but he may end up in the Premier League this season, so it will be difficult, but he is one we have worked with," said Eriksson.
"We are working on taking in one or two more and, if we are going to do that, it is going to be a big name.
"We are working on it and it would be a dream to take in someone who can score over 20 goals."
Eriksson also revealed that Aston Villa striker Emile Heskey is not currently interested in returning to Leicester as he continues his quest to improve his attacking options.
He added: "I spoke to Emile Heskey a month ago and asked him if he wanted to come to us and the answer was 'not for now. Maybe next season'."
