Wednesday have now kept two clean sheets this season, following their 2-0 victory over Rochdale on the opening day of the League One campaign, and Megson believes his side are shaping up nicely.
Asked for his take on the performance against Blackpool, he said: "I liked the attitude, whole-hearted and we really gave it a good go.
"When you pick the kind of team that we did, there were ten-and-a-half changes because we knew Gary (Madine) would be coming off at half-time. We have only got the two forwards in the club at the minute, so the way we adapted, we chopped and changed with the formation, was good.
"At times we rode our luck, Blackpool got away with one or two things, but I'm really pleased with the attitude and the honesty the players showed.
