Portsmouth chief executive David Lampitt has revealed he is optimistic about bringing new players to the club.
Manager Steve Cotterill has acquired five new players in the close season but Lampitt is aware they will need more additions in order to be competitive next term.
The volume and intensity of games in the Championship means Pompey will need a larger squad - and it is something they hope to remedy by the end of the week.
