Poll Reveals Casey Anthony is Most Hated Person in America

Sometimes, we're surprised when we see poll results, wondering "What are people thinking?" And sometimes, like in this instance, we see a poll's results and simply think, "I didn't need a poll to tell me that!" To the surprise of no one who has followed the news recently, Casey Anthony has emerged as the holder of the title, The Most Hated Person in America. And while the list of her competitors was limited to suspected and convicted criminals and fringe reality celebrities, it's likely that she ran away with the crown.
Even before her nationally-televised trial and shocking acquittal, Anthony was among the most reviled people in the country based on her admitted behavior surrounding the suspicious disappearance and murder of her daughter. Now that she has beaten the charges, the public has nothing left to do but direct its hate and venom in her direction. Many are still waiting anxiously to see if and when Anthony will step into the spotlight to tell her side of the story. It will only be a matter of time before some media outlet simply can't resist the urge to pay her a large sum of money for an interview, so rest assured it's going to happen at some point soon.
And in fairness to Anthony, the poll seemed to omit offering up such contenders as the U.S. Congress, the Tea Party, Democrats, Republicans or Standard & Poor's. Sure, they're groups and not individuals, but my money is on one of those groups taking down the title of most hated overall. With the economy in a tailspin and the markets fluctuating wildly on a daily basis, all anyone wants to do is blame the parties that don't share the same ideas as to why we're in this mess and how we can get back out.
So for now, while retirement funds are plundered and the housing market continues to hurdle into the abyss, we can take solace in the fact that, at least, we're not Casey Anthony.
