The ISL6446A from Intersil is a dual pwm and linear controller targeted at a range of broadband and networking applications.
The device integrates complete control, monitoring and protection functions for two synchronous buck pwm controllers and one linear controller.
It allows designers to easily convert 4.5 to 24VDC into up to three output voltages, with extensive protection.
Each output can be controlled independently with adjustable soft-start control. The ISL6446A delivers maximum efficiency over the full operating range of input and output loads.
Intersil says users can easily design compact dc/dcs with up to 25A current for two channels.
The ISL6446A is designed for ATX power supplies, dsp, asic, and fpga point of load regulation and industrial and security networking applications.
