Neil Warnock has confirmed Queens Park Rangers' interest in signing Southampton winger Jason Puncheon before the start of the season.
Skysports.com revealed last month that both QPR and West Ham United had made bids for Puncheon, who spent the second half of last season on loan at Blackpool.
He remains on the fringes at Southampton and is wanted at Loftus Road after another Warnock target - Wayne Routledge - opted for a switch to Swansea City.
Puncheon has not been given a squad number by Southampton for the coming season and Warnock believes he is ideally suited to QPR after offering Latvia international defender Kaspars Gorkss as part exchange.
