Grass allergy occurs when the body is exposed to grass pollens. Many people suffer from this seasonal allergy. Small children in particular are more susceptible to it. Once your grass allergy rash is treated successfully, you have to prevent any further exposure to the allergens. As it is an airborne allergen, it is really difficult to stop it. Where the chances of grass pollen exposure is higher, wearing of mask provides a lot of protection. After coming back from outdoors, take a shower to wash off the pollens. Sometimes, allergists desensitize patients with the help of immunotherapy to reduce the chances of grass allergy rash in future. For this, small doses of grass allergens are administered in the form of injections to enhance the tolerance. As the body starts enduring it, the dose is increased. This treatment continues for several years but it gives a long term benefit to the patient.
