A two-headed baby infant who made headlines nationwide has died eleven days after being born to a 35-year-old woman in the Mekong Delta province of Soc Trang on October 12.
Doctors at the Ho Chi Minh City Children’s Hospital 1 said the health of the conjoined twins sharing the same body became critical on October 22 with respiratory failures leading to a coma.
The mother, whose name was identified only as M.D., was admitted to the Soc Trang General Hospital early on October 12. After doctors discovered the baby had two heads, they conducted surgery.
