Students who complete the administrative assistant certificate will be able to:
Demonstrate ability to work in a virtual environment by completing online projects.
Create a worksheet and chart using Excel.
Create a presentation using PowerPoint.
Identify and demonstrate use of Windows desktop.
Manage computer files and folders.
Utilize the Internet to communicate and access information.
Develop planning and writing skills for business letters, memoranda, employment and reports.
Organize records based on correct filing methods.
Prepare and deliver a business presentation.
Type the alphabet, number and symbol keys using proper touch keyboarding techniques.
Develop 35 wpm keyboarding speed and accuracy during two-minute timings.
Prepare, format and product business documents using Word.
Acquire training and education to seek employment or advance in current employment.
Develop a foundation to continue their studies.
